I love the sport of Kiteboarding because of the freedom. When I am out there the ocean is my playground. I do not have anyone telling me what I have to do and my life as a land mammal disappears. I get given a chance to be myself and I am lucky enough that people like that.
My style is very unique. I have grown with the sport and am the first generation to purely kiteboard without outside influence. Thus, I kite a little different than most people. I spend most my time upside down, or way up high in the air. I have many different variations of tricks, to the point where I may not do the same trick twice for a couple of hours.
I am born and raised on the Island of Maui. I have a younger brother and sister. My brother, you can find around on this site. I pretty much just try to keep up with him. I am 19 and am currently in my second quarter at The University of California at Santa Cruz. I manage to keep a solid GPA while keeping up in the Kiteboarding Industry. I am a normal person although I am in the college dorms and am writing this on a saturday night, maybe I am not so normal after all. haha
I have absolutely no idea. I am asking myself this on a daily basis at the moment.
I am not quite sure! I mean, I have a sick truck, am attending an amazing University, get to kite and all that, but at the same time I feel like I am a chicken with its head cut off running around. I really wish that everyone within the action sports industry were more together and realized that we are all in this to have FUN and to get the chance to do it again tomorrow! Life is good, just busy and I am not sure what tomorrow will bring.
