More about me...

My name is Kelly and I am a triathlete. I train all year round and compete on the weekends during the main season (April-September, about 10 events) In the winter I run a lot of 10ks and train indoors.

My day job, however, is teaching. I am currently a 2nd grade teacher at an environmental charter school.
I also work outside as an assistant manager of a forest preserve for the summer.

People tell me I'm insane for training as much as I do, but us triathletes know we are all a bit crazy :)
Riding 60 miles and then running 7 mi after may seem a bit extreme for some, but for us it's all in a days work...or should I say all before our day jobs set in.

I love triathlons and I hope one day to raise to a new level in the sport. I plan on working hard for the months and years to come to some day reach elite. 	Im done racing for the year. There was a race (in your area actually) that I was debating on and decided against it, the entry fee is just rediculous for the length of the race. Im going to work on getting healthy and regrouping for St. Croix (possibly) in May.
