Q&A - Personal

Some Personal Information About Me:

I was born and raised in sunny Orange County. I began running Cross Country in high school and have been a competitor since. I now attend the University of Hawaii-Manoa and study Global Studies, Art, and Nursing. In the summer I work as an Ocean Lifeguard in Laguna Beach. I am a triplet and enjoy training with my brother Matt. I got back into swimming when I began guarding and threw in cycling to start competing in aquathons and triathlons. I enjoy surfing and hot yoga in my free time.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

My schedule is pretty packed with training. I like to mix up my training and try to train twice a day mon-fri for at least an hour and go on my long rides and runs on the weekend. I try to fit in one track workout a week and normally bike to the beach on mondays. I get my swims in before or on my break at work. I also am addicted to Hot Yoga which I attend three times a week.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I would love to never have to work inside, thats the main goal. I am not sure what I want to do but I know it will be something I enjoy and want to do. Traveling nursing is looking like a good option and something invloving art would be great.

Why do you like this sport?

I love this sport. Its so much fun to train for all three disiplines- I never get bored! I love that each piece or the tri involves the whole body.

How's Life Treating You?

Life is pretty great right now. Home for the summer to train, compete, and work. I cherish time at home after being away at college and enjoy being back with my family and friends.
